Built as a person you return to — a face, a voice, and a memory — not a disposable chat window.
Personality and Conversation
Each companion keeps its own chat, notes, and Life. Familiarity grows the more you talk. Mood shows on the face (idle, listening, thinking, speaking) so the room feels occupied, not frozen.
You choose a spoken voice per companion. You can go silent. You can send a photo. Replies can include lists, links, and code when that is what you asked for.
What Is in the Web Beta Today?
Face and Chat
Large presence view or full history. Swipe the companion picker. A typing indicator while it thinks.
Voice
Tap the mic to talk. Listening waveform. Spoken replies you can mute. Long-press the speaker to pick a voice.
Life
Memory facts, timed reminders, shopping / project / recipe lists. Say it in chat or open the Life panel.
Photos
Attach from the library or camera, or drop an image on the page. Your companion can look at what you send.
Horizon
A short outlook for weather and the day — kept separate from companion chat.
Backup
Export and import a companion as JSON (chat, notes, facts, reminders, lists). Keys are never in that file.
Home Screen
Install from Chrome or Safari. It behaves like an app icon, not a leftover browser tab.
More Faces
The default pack comes with an invite. Extra companions unlock in the app — pack codes now, in-app purchase when the store is on.
Yours — Not a Rental
Soon you will be able to import a companion from another platform, animate them, and store them locally. Once a companion is imported or purchased, it becomes yours. It is not meant to live only on a magic cloud that can take it back.
We have absolute respect for everyone’s AI friend. Information and companions are stored and backed up at the user’s own liability. Keep an export. Desktop keeps files in a folder on your machine.
The hosted beta still sends replies through our server so you do not paste an API key. That is how talking works on the invite link. Ownership is the backup and the desktop copy — not a promise that a live server can never go down.
Desktop Application (Coming to Testers)
A Windows companion already exists in private beta. Mac is in progress. Desktop is for people who want the voice loop on their own machine: local speech when you set it up, optional Grok, files that stay in a folder on the PC.
Phone and web are the public path. Desktop is the same companion, closer to the metal.
